Chenango Forks Deck Railing Project
Replacing an old deck can do a lot for a home's architectural style. Some old decks really don't fit with the home's architecture, such as you can see in this before picture.
We removed the old standard deck railing and stairway handrail and put in a new decorative railing that is simply gorgeous. This set the tone of the exterior, creating a new architectural feature that goes perfect with home.
The new decking material has a beautiful natural finish, much better than the old painted deck. You can see how some wear and tear on the paint really shows.
If you'll notice on the before pictures, there are more support beams under the deck. The way that this area was constructed creates an odd aesthetic that does nothing for the curb appeal. There is also fence wire installed along the railing of the deck for safety. The new deck is open and airy underneath with proper support construction and safety railing.
